Wire EDM services

Brodeur Machine offers precise wire EDM services for high-value components. Our method uses spark erosion to create clean edges and tight tolerances of 0.0001 inches.

Beyond conventional EDM

Our wire EDM operation combines large-format capacity, tight tolerance control, and unmatched process expertise. ITAR registered and ISO/NIST compliant, Brodeur supports high-spec industries that demand both precision and reliability on every build.

Enhanced capabilities

  • Our EDM work envelope of 49.2 by 40.1 by 32.0 inches supports parts up to 6,600 pounds. Large components are machined with the same control and surface finish as small precision pieces. This capacity enables us to complete full-scale builds in-house without compromise.

  • We regularly hold tolerances to 0.0001 inches through stable fixturing, temperature control, and in-process inspection. Our machines are calibrated for consistency across long runs and complex geometries. Every detail is verified to meet exact dimensional requirements.

  • Wire EDM easily cuts materials that challenge conventional tooling, including carbide, Inconel, titanium, and hardened steels. The process removes material by spark erosion, producing smooth surfaces with no mechanical stress. This allows for perfect edge definition in even the toughest alloys.

  • Our EDM process minimizes setup and reduces scrap through precise material removal and automated control. Complex shapes can be produced without expensive tooling or secondary machining. The result is lower cost per part and faster delivery without sacrificing accuracy.

  • We machine brittle, delicate, and high-value materials without cracking or distortion. The EDM process introduces no cutting forces, preserving dimensional stability and surface integrity. This makes it ideal for ceramics, carbides, and thin-wall components.

Conductive materials for wire EDM processing

Brodeur Machine’s EDM systems cut a wide range of conductive metals with accuracy and repeatability. From hardened steels to exotic alloys, we maintain consistent dimensional integrity and flawless edge quality across every material class.
