Brodeur Machine Company established

Brodeur Machine Company was established on Shaw St. in New Bedford by Clement A. Brodeur

BMC moved to its present location on Wood St.

BMC establishes oldest account relationship

Now 80+ years

Raymond Sr. & Andy are deployed in WWII

Boys Return

and begin growing the shop with an addition to house the welding operation

BMC is asked to create and fabricate a pump to raise the Arizona Sword from the Cape Cod canal

establishing the reputation for taking on difficult jobs

Clement retires & relinquishes shares to his sons

eventually leaving Raymond Sr. and Andy as co-owners and the 2nd generation

BMC Fabricates titanium arm for the Alvin

Raymond Sr. passes away and his sons Ray & Mark join Andy to run the shop

5 Facility Additions are implemented

to accommodate the growing business – enhancing the shop footprint to 28,000 sq ft

Andy passes and Ray and Mark take over as co-owners

ushering in the 3rd generation

Thermal Spray Coating Division is Established

BMC Secures largest PO in company history

to design and build a custom Anneal & Pickle Line

Large Addition is made to the shop

including increasing the overhead lifting capacity to 100 tons

Cape Cod Canal Rail Bridge Repair and Rebuild

Ray passes away leaving Mark as sole owner

Kathryn, Mark’s daughter, joins the company

marking the 4th generation

Major Facility and Equipment Upgrades are made

100 year anniversary
