Brodeur Machine follows a proven process for clarity and control. Our team manages every step in-house to ensure quality and accountability.

Discovery & Quoting

01 RFQ received

Every project begins with a detailed review of the client’s drawings, models, and specifications. We confirm scope, materials, and timelines to ensure the opportunity is fully understood before estimating begins.
02 Internal research & costing

Our estimating and programming teams assess material, tooling, and production requirements to determine the most efficient path to manufacture. This step establishes accurate costs and timelines based on real production data.
03 Quote submission

A formal quote is delivered outlining scope, pricing, and lead time. Each quote reflects careful evaluation of process requirements, capacity, and scheduling.
04 Client feedback & review

We invite open discussion on pricing, timing, and process approach. This collaboration often leads to small refinements that improve manufacturability or delivery.
05 Revised quote & approval

If adjustments are needed, we update the quote promptly to reflect new specifications or priorities. The goal is to align expectations on both sides before the purchase order is issued.
06 Purchase order issued

Once a PO is received, the project transitions into formal production planning. The client is introduced to their dedicated foreman and communication cadence begins immediately.

Technical consultation & prototyping

Post-PO Review After a purchase order is issued, the project is reviewed by engineering and production leads. This ensures all requirements, materials, and expectations are fully aligned before production begins.

Design for Manufacturability (DFM) Our team identifies opportunities to improve production efficiency and part performance without altering form or function. Recommendations may include material substitutions, tolerance adjustments, or optimized machining strategies.

Client coordination We introduce the client to their dedicated foreman, establishing a clear communication channel for technical questions and updates. This direct connection ensures transparency and accountability throughout the build.

Prototyping (as required) For select projects or new designs, we produce limited runs or first articles to validate the process. These initial parts confirm feasibility, tolerances, and surface finish before proceeding to full production.

Production and scheduling

01 Planning & resource allocation

Our production team finalizes the schedule, confirms material availability, and assigns personnel and equipment. Every job receives a defined plan to manage workload, timing, and communication.
02 Tooling & fixturing

Custom tooling and fixtures are designed or procured to support machining and fabrication. These setups ensure repeatable accuracy and stable part orientation during production.
03 Machining & fabrication

Parts are machined or fabricated according to the approved process plan. Work is sequenced for efficiency, with in-process checks performed throughout to ensure accuracy.
04 Outside services coordination

When specialized coatings, treatments, or finishes are required, our team manages all vendor communication and logistics. We handle scheduling, transport, and verification to keep the project moving and maintain full control over quality and timing.
05 Transition to inspection

Once production is complete, every part is prepared for comprehensive inspection and documentation. This step marks the handoff to our quality assurance process for final verification before shipment.

Quality Assurance

Inspection infrastructure & capability Our facility includes a climate-controlled inspection room with advanced CMMs and calibrated instruments. This environment maintains measurement stability and accuracy across all production stages.

Continuous in-process inspection Inspection checkpoints occur throughout machining and fabrication to confirm dimensions, alignment, and finish. Early detection of deviations keeps every operation within tolerance.

Dedicated project ownership Each job is managed by a single foreman responsible for coordination and quality oversight. This continuity ensures consistent standards and clear communication throughout production.

Comprehensive dimensional verification At completion, every part is inspected against customer drawings and digital models. All critical features and tolerances are verified, and results are documented for full traceability.

Shipping & logistics

Brodeur manages shipping in New England directly. For other areas, we coordinate with trusted carriers or the client’s shipping partner. Each part is packaged for protection, with documentation for a smooth transfer.
